In keeping with Virginia's Phase 3 recommendations, I will not be doing appointment longer than one hour for the time being. Prolonged close contact in a small, closed room increases your risk of being infected with COVID-19, even with masks and other precautions in place.
Until further notice both practitioner and clients will be wearing masks for each service. No masks with vents or neck gaiters as masks please, they are ineffective (per the CDC). Also, masks must be worn correctly at all times (covering the mouth AND nose). If you don't have a mask, I can provide you with one.
While cleaning of highly touched surfaces already occurs, I will be extending the period of time between appointments to allow for a more thorough cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces.
It is recommended that windows be left open to disperse any virus particles. However, the window in the massage room does not open. So, in lieu of an open window I've added an air purifier with enough filters to catch particles as small as 0.3 microns.
I would encourage everyone to wait in their vehicle for their appointment. I will be more than happy to call/text you when I can take you back directly to the massage room.
New intake procedures to screen for COVID-19 symptoms including a temperature check. Also, daily practitioner temperature check.
All of these measures help manage risk, they do not eliminate risk. If you have concerns please remember that you are Safer At Home.
